Hello everyone! I’m an incoming PA student. I’ve been an EMT since I was 18 and also worked as a home health aide. I also interned on the NYC Mayor Adams transition team alongside the city’s deputy health commissioner. I look forward to starting PA this fall!
Congratulations for everything you have accomplished up to this point in your career. We look forward to hearing back from you during your journey through PA school. Don't hesitate to ask financial career questions on this forum throughout the process.
I'm a recovering neurosurgery PA and left clinical work 6 months into the pandemic to focus on a medical writing company I started in late 2017.
We do mostly CME content creation and help to market CME from several educational providers. I also write about how to get into medical writing for extra income and as an offshoot, medical market research surveys.
And because I have a habit of always being in under my head, I started building a CME finder tool that's in an early version already.
I'm one of the original PAs for financial growth that Andrew assembled to start this SIG, so personal finance, business, non clinical work, etc are all personal interests of mine.
Hello! I work full time as a PA-C doing both surgical (70%) and medical (30%) Dermatology. I graduated PA school in May 2012. I was class President and graduated with honors (Phi Kappa Phi). In 2014, I was able to pay off my student loans ($100,000) and began to save, invest and better fund my retirement options. I started PA 4 Finance to help all other PAs and anyone in the spectrum of the PA profession to become more financially literate and decrease financial debt stress.
